This is it! We’ve been planing today for a year. Seems like it’s gotten here really fast

Special thanks to Brenda Lyons of Cardo Systems for her help today. Tim and I will be using the Cardo BK-1 communication system to communicate with our follow van. It’s an awesome, lightweight system.

Same old thing except for team introduction. 8 man Walter Reed Bethesda Cycling Team. Current and former service men with traumatic brain injuries. 3 were in wheelchairs and several had prosthetic limbs. They were given a standing ovation. It was an awesome thing.

My teammate Tim and the rest of our crew arrive this morning. Final van prep, bike and vehicle inspection this afternoon.  Plus racer meeting and team pictures.  I hope to get in a short ride sometime today.
